Environment and Sustainability
Subject Coordinator - Mrs Levitt
Welcome to the Environment & Sustainability subject page.
Our intent at Mablethorpe Primary Academy, is for children to learn about how as humans, our past and current actions have a lasting impact upon the world around us. We want children to recognise the impact they can have to saving the environment, habitats, living things and more, in the future. Each year group will learn about their responsibility to care and make reasonable changes to their lifestyle to become sustainable. Children will be encouraged to know their voice has an impact and take action within the community to share their knowledge and passion of sustainable living.
There will be opportunities to vote for whole school plans through our Eco Warriers group. Every class is allocated an Eco Warrier to lead on various different ideas linked to our climate action plan. Children will also work with local councillors to have a voice in how we can improve sustainability in our local area.
The children at Mablethorpe regularly take part in local beach cleans and educate the community through newsletters and articles in the local newsletters which are published.
Through our careers programme at MPA, we show children careers linked to sustainability and how this influences the workplace.
Please have a regularly look at our Facebook page and twitter and see what we have been out and about doing.
