Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium Statement
The Pupil Premium Strategy is attached below. This is a three-year strategy but included focused actions for the year ahead (23/4). This is reviewed at three points during the year to ensure it reflects the needs of the pupils at all times.
Pupil premium is funding to improve education outcomes for disadvantaged pupils in schools in England. Evidence shows that disadvantaged children generally face additional challenges in reaching their potential at school and often do not perform as well as other pupils.
We follow the latest guidance on the most effective way to support our disadvantaged pupils and pride ourselves on being inclusive in our approach. The three main considerations sit within the following headings: High quality teaching, targeted academic support and wider strategies.
The Education Endowment Foundation forms a key part of our evidenced based research and is referenced through our strategy document. In addition to this, our whole staff team are involved in discussions about this group of pupils and monitor their provision and progress regularly throughout the year in all areas of their development. The cycle below reflects our approach.
Please see the attached document below - this outlines the strategy in place for the next three years, with added details for the current year. A review of the previous year is also contained within the document.
