Our House System

At our school, every child belongs to one of four houses: Bolingbroke, Lincoln, Somerton, or Tattershall. Our house system helps to create a strong sense of belonging, teamwork, leadership, and pride across the school. Children work together, support one another, and earn house points through demonstrating our school values, excellent effort, positive behaviour, and achievements both in and out of the classroom. Even the teachers do this too! 

Throughout the year, houses come together for a range of exciting events, including sports competitions, challenge days, fundraising activities, themed celebrations, and whole-school events. The house system encourages children of all ages to work collaboratively, develop confidence, and celebrate success together. We collect points for rewards. 

House Captains

Each year, our House Captains are selected by the whole school coming together to vote. They show how they can be positive role models and ambassadors for their house. They play an important role in promoting our school values and helping to build a strong school community.

Some of the responsibilities of our House Captains include:

• Leading and encouraging their house during competitions and events.
• Collecting and celebrating house points.
• Representing pupil voice and sharing ideas from their house members.
• Supporting school fundraising and charity events.
• Welcoming visitors and assisting at special school events.
• Helping to organise and promote whole-school competitions.
• Encouraging teamwork, kindness, resilience, and respect across the school.

Being a House Captain is a privilege and an opportunity for pupils to develop valuable leadership, communication, organisation, and teamwork skills. Through their role, House Captains help to inspire younger pupils and contribute positively to the life of the school.

Together, Bolingbroke, Lincoln, Somerton, and Tattershall create a vibrant and supportive community where every child can feel valued, challenged, and proud to belong.
