Class Teacher - Miss L Carstairs
Welcome to the Clownfish class.
We hope that you have had a fantastic summer and we are looking forward to seeing you all for an exciting new term.
Miss Carstairs will be the class teacher for Clownfish and the topic focus this term will be around toys, with an enquiry question that links to all subjects. Please can children come to school in their PE kits on a Wednesday and Thursday. This term in PE, children will be learning a range of ball skills and football fundamentals. In English, children will be exploring the story of Where's my teddy? by Jez Alborough. In art we will be developing our drawing and sketching skills using Jill Murphy and her teddy bear stories for inspiration. Also, this term, children will develop their keyboard and trackpad skills in computing and getting creative in music through listening and appraising the teddy bears picnic and Coppelia and a toy symphony by Malcolm Arnold. RE will involve exploring Christianity to answer the question of What do Christians believe god is like? Materials and their properties will be the focus in Science and we will be linking this to our topic of toys. Enjoy the rest of your summer and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
