 Welcome to the Jellyfish class.

Welcome to term 6.

We hope you had a fantastic May half term break!

On Monday 3rd June we will be celebrating World Book Day. We will be celebrating books and reading all week and the children will take part in a range of activities based on stories.  To make this week even more enjoyable, we would love for the children to come to school dressed as their favourite book character on Monday 3rd June.

We don’t have a date yet but are looking forward to the children’s sports day this term and dates will be given when scheduled.

This term we will be learning all about the wonderful world beneath the ocean through our new books for English that include ‘the sea below my toes’ and ‘the wide, wide sea.  In the first week back for English we will be exploring Romeo and Juliet and developing our skills in talk for writing whilst developing a performance of the balcony scene...which is very exciting!

Maths this term will be full of measure for length, height, capacity, mass and temperature with lessons to consolidate place value, multiplication and division.

In DT we will be designing and building our own wheeled vehicles and in science we will be continuing to learn about Animals, including Humans.

Art will be very exciting this term as we will be developing our skills and techniques in sewing to create our own felt sailing boats and in Geography we will be researching the different forms of transport in Mablethorpe and the human and physical features.
